February News 2010

Where has the time gone? Almost three months has gone by since I last wrote for my news page and so much has happened that I could write pages and pages! December is always hectic with Christmas and family, January flies by as one of the busiest times for me with people wanting to know what will be happening for them over the coming year.

February started with a trip to London. On the 8th I went to the BBC for my regular astrology slot on the Steve Wright Show BBC Radio 2, as always great fun to do. In January I held three Tarot workshops which have been a great success. I really enjoy the teaching and with such enthusiastic students it has been a great pleasure to share my knowledge of the Tarot with them.

The end of February saw another trip to London for a meeting with a voice over agency specialist for a days workshop at The Showreel Company. The day was brilliant and it was great to meet JP, who owns the company, as well as the other people attending the workshop. It was very informative and we learnt lots from JP. I now know the words (off by heart) for a well known coffee advert and a large supermarket chain!

March is looking even busier with more trips to London. On the 22nd I am on the Steve Wright Show again for the astrology slot and due to meet a publisher to discuss my new book on Tarot. I’ve also had an idea for a TV documentary and have meetings planned to get this off the ground. All very exciting! As usual there are horoscopes to write and personal readings to fit in, as my client list grows and grows.

However, the most exciting event in March will be collecting an Award of Merit for my Father, who sadly passed away last year, this Award is from the Worshipful Company of Carmen. It has been given for his work on the designs of Donald Campbell’s Bluebird and his design of the pendulum seatbelt which has saved so many lives. The award is being given at a banquet at the Mansion House in London by the Lord Mayor and the Princess Royal; I am very thrilled and proud of my Father to be collecting this award on his behalf.

So to leave you a couple of words of wisdom that my Father taught me "An opportunity is not luck but something that you have created that allows luck to happen"
Good luck and good fortune to everyone!

I’m soon to resume as the resident Astrologer on BBC Radio Devon on the Judi Spiers show in the morning. Last Halloween I worked with Haunted Devon as one of their psychics along with the brilliant Gavin Cromwell to raise money for BBC Children in Need. The venue was the Reel Cinema in Plymouth. The evening proved to be very popular and we raised over £1000 for the charity, well done to everyone!

She also touched on the world of the Tarot by explaining the meanings of the 22 cards that make up the Major Acarna of the tarot cards and helped to dispel some of the myths surrounding the subject. Sara also writes articles for magazines on Tarot and Palmistry as well as writing horoscopes for newspapers.

Testimonials

"The event went really well and Sara was very popular. People gave me really good comments about her talk. I must say, the room was packed (yes we did have to go on a chair hunt which is always good!) I thought it was a very good turnout for an afternoon event and I'm really pleased with how it all turned out.
Thanks again for letting us know about Sara, it really made our MBS day very special."
